Backup Services

Reduce the risk of losing your NATS data permanently with Too Much Media's remote backup service. Our service will back up your NATS files, NATS database, and any custom Smarty functions and templates, all to an off-site server. If a situation arises where a backup needs to be restored, we will reinstall NATS and/or re-import any data you may have lost free of charge.

We can help prevent data loss

We at Too Much Media recommend setting up a backup service through either us or your hosting company to reduce the risk of data loss. Our Standard Remote Backup service costs a flat fee of $75 per month, and includes three (3) backups to our server per week. If that's not enough for you, we also offer a Daily Remote Backup service, which provides you with daily backups of all your NATS files, database, and templates for $150 per month. Using this feature provides redundancy for your data, which is crucial for recovering it in cases of emergency.

Please put in a support ticket if you are interested in adding this backup service to your NATS installation.

Creating Affiliate Payment Methods

Do you need to create a custom payment method for your affiliates? NATS provides the tools necessary to create a completely custom payment method. By creating a custom payment method, you can collect and output details tailored to your payment needs.

When setting up a new payment method, go to your payments admin and click on the "Pay Via Types" tab. On this page, you will see your current list of available payment methods with a field near the bottom called "New Pay Via Type Name". Type the name for your new payment method in this field and click the "Add" button. Once created, you will be able to set the payment method details like a description, minimum payment options, cost or bonus, a dump format, and whether the method is enabled by default or not. After saving these details, you should set up what fields / data are collected from your affiliates that will be using this new method. To do this, click the "Configure" action icon. In this area, you can set the field name, type of field, whether it is required, the minimum and maximum character amounts and more. Once this is all set, the payment method will be available for use by your affiliates.

No Cost Registrations NATS

Want to offer your members a free option? NATS gives admins the option to set up a no cost registration (NCR). A member choosing an NCR option will not see a biller, but will still be able to sign up to a site and have a membership created within NATS.

To make an NCR available for your members, admins first would set up a new Join Option for 1 site. In the sites admin, find the site that you would like to add this join option to, and click the 3rd action icon to see a list of join options. At the bottom of the page, below the "Add New Join Option" section, there is a section labeled "Add New No Cost Registration Option". Options for an NCR include setting a registration period, the join form text, whether to disallow members who have signed up for this option from signing up again, whether the option is hidden from the join form, and whether this option will be available for all tours. Note that setting the "Registration Period" to 0 will set the member to be active indefinitely. Also note that if the "Active for all Tours" option is not set, Rules will need to be set for this new option. Rules denote when this NCR option will be available for use on a NATS join page.

Once the join option is set up, admins would need to set the "Re-Use Active Usernames" option in the edit site details page. This allows members who signed up to an NCR to upgrade to a full membership option. Once set, admins can link the original member to the NATS join page, providing the username and email. This will ensure the original member will retain their details in the upgrade to a full membership.

Additional features for No Cost Registrations include their own column in the statistics page, separate emails sent out on these memberships, a postback url, and the option to payout affiliates per no cost registration.
